This Privacy Policy describes how Linkpuff collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our service.

1. Data We Collect

Account data: email address, username, password (hashed)
Content data: links, page title, bio, avatar, and custom icons you upload
Usage data: click counts and referrer information for your links
Technical data: IP address (used for geo-detection of locale, not stored long-term)

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide and operate the Linkpuff service
To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, subscription receipts)
To display analytics in your dashboard
To detect your preferred language on first visit (geo-IP)

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database. Uploaded files (avatars, icons) are stored on the server filesystem. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Cookies

We use a single cookie (lang) to remember your language preference, and a session cookie for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings — all your data will be permanently removed immediately. Analytics data is retained for 90 days.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at legal@linkpuff.com.

The lang cookie is only set automatically by geo-IP detection after you give consent. You can always change your language using the EN | RU switcher on any page.
